Week 28

Memory Verse:  Acts 2:20,21

Reading #1: Isaiah 24:21-25:9

Questions:  What do you think it means that “the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed?”  What promises can we look forward to in Isaiah 25:6-9?

Reading #2:  Jeremiah 4:23-28

Questions:  Which other passage in scripture does this one seem to be both echoing and undoing?

Reading #3: Ezekiel 32:1-8 and Micah 3:1-8

Questions:  How does the darkening of the heavenly lights mirror the judgement of Pharaoh, King of Egypt, in Ezekiel 32:7,8?  How does the darkening of the heavenly lights mirror the spiritual condition of God’s people in Micah 3:6-8?

Reading #4: Joel 2:10-32

Questions:  Even though darkening of the heavenly lights means the day of the Lord is coming, what promises are God’s people given in verses 12 and 13 if they would only turn and repent?
